About Us
Alan Soifer
As a young child collecting rocks and minerals, Alan Soifer's gemstone and jewelry journey began. Somehow he knew each gemstone possessed unique and mystical properties waiting to be discovered. After obtaining a degree in the biological sciences, Alan realized that he was destined to enter the gemological and jewelry industry. Having worked in all aspects of the industry as appraiser, gemologist, buyer, manager, jeweler, and salesman since 1977, he learned that a full commitment to sincerity, honesty, professionalism, and listening carefully to the customer were extremely important in establishing a personal caring relationship. Alan's gemological education includes: Graduate Gemologist in residence (Gemological Institute of America), and Certified Gemologist Appraiser (American Gem Society). His more notable work experiences include: evaluating The American Gem Society Gem Collection which was donated to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, evaluating gems and jewelry at Tiffany & Company in New York City, and performing an internal audit at Borsheim's, the world's largest jewelry store, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jim Trandell
Jim Trandell began his jewelry career in 1969 while earning his engineering degree from Lawrence Tech. Being involved in an analytical field such as engineering set up his passion for metal processing and fine gemstones. Attention to detail in jewelry manufacturing is his forte. Come visit our store and let Jim assist you in selecting a quality piece of jewelry and have him demonstrate the differences in construction. When it comes to getting married and your about to invest in one of lifes biggest investments look no more than to Allan James Jewelers. After researching several jewelers in our local area we found a gem. Allan and James from the moment we entered their store made our process not only fun but educated us about diamonds. From the four C's,to the different types of settings and even the care for our investment. Together we created our rings. Alan and Jim truly care about you and offer the best in customer service as well as the best and most unique jewelry you can imagine. I've made several purchases, and have NEVER been disappointed. They are truly the best in the field. I have referred many friends, and even customers at my place of employment to them. Everyone is truly amazed at the time they spend with you, getting a feel for what you really are looking for and staying within your budget.
